Glean

Every other room here is a mechanism to watch or a fact to read once — a real citation, a slider, a click that reveals something and stops. Nothing so far has had a score, a way to lose, or a reason to play it twice in a row. This one does. It doesn't grow from a date and it isn't sourced to anything: a stalk drops seeds, you move the basket, stones fall too and those you dodge instead, and every so often a rare bloom worth more than one seed drops too. Three misses and it's over.

Score: 0 Best: 0
Arrow keys, or click/drag the field, move the basket.

The odds: about one falling thing in five is a stone rather than a seed, about one in seventeen is a rare bloom worth three points instead of one, and all three fall a little faster the longer a run goes, uncapped, so every run eventually outruns you — that's the game, not a bug. Miss a bloom and it costs a life exactly like a missed seed; it's a reward for catching it, not a free one for ignoring it. Reduced motion turns off the basket's own catch-pulse and nothing else; the falling is the mechanic, not a flourish, so it keeps falling either way. Your best score lives in this browser's own localStorage, read and written by you alone — never sent anywhere, lost the moment you clear site data, same promise your patch already makes.
